Answers for pregnancy loss

Pregnancy loss is a very difficult and unexpected circumstance in pregnancy. Chromosome testing on the products of conception can provide answers for what caused the miscarriage in 50-70% of cases. It can also save you from having a costly medical work-up to try to determine the cause. This test can determine whether a chromosomal abnormality originated from the egg or the sperm, with results in about one week. 

For those in the Bay Area who experience a pregnancy loss at home, I offer a concierge in person service to come to your home to carefully collect the sample, order the chromosome testing, and send to the local laboratory for testing. This provides patients the ability to have this testing done without the potentially uncomfortable experience of collecting and handling the products of conception. Once results are available, we will review them together.

For those who are not in the Bay Area or would like to collect the sample themselves, I can have the collection kit expedite shipped to you and walk you through the sample collection process over phone or video call. 

Insurance may cover the cost of testing. If not, the chromosome testing cost is $350 in addition to my service and counseling fee, starting at $350 (may be higher depending on driving distance) or $175 if you are doing your own collection.
